GENDEX database dwmerrill14 contains:
- ancestors of my grandfather Charles Arthur Merrill (1876-1968), and their spouses and
siblings;
- descendants of my 3rd great-grandfather Joseph Merrill (1773-1844);
- ancestors and cousins of my son-in-law Roberto Antonio Plaza.
Principal surnames are Merrill, Barnard, Whitney, Church, Warren, and Wood.
Database dwmerrill14 updates some information also in GENDEX databases dwmerrill (Merrill, Ray, etc) and dwmerrill12
(Merrills in Franklin County). Database dwmerrill14 does not
contain:
- ancestors and cousins of my mother Harriet Ray Merrill (1909-1978): see database ray1;
- ancestors and cousins of my grandmother Eleanore Edwards Goucher Merrill (1877-1950):
see database goucher;
- ancestors and cousins of my sister-in-law Wendy Gay Buchanan Merrill (1941- ): see
database buchanan2.
Information about living persons is removed, except for full name, gender, and
relationship. Persons are assumed dead if death date is known, or if birthdate is
before 1898. Missing birthdates are estimated from next of kin.
The database c:\ftw\merrill\no_ray\merrill.ftw was edited on 4/6/98 with Family Treemaker
for Windows 4.4, to remove Buchanan relatives. The file merrill.ged was exported in GEDCOM
5.5 ASCII format. Gedclean 2.11
was used to remove most information about 127 living persons. The resulting file
clean.html (671 names) was processed in wwh.net with GED2HTML LINUX ELF version
3.0b of 5/28/97, with custom files options3.g2h and
custom3.g2h. Database
dwmerrill14 was submitted to GENDEX and GENMATCH.
